    International Indian Statistical Association (IISA) 2026 Conference
    The next conference of the International Indian Statistical Association (IISA) will be held December 26–30, 2026, at Banaras Hindu University, Varanasi, India, jointly organized with the university's Department of Statistics. The conference will bring together leading statisticians, data scientists, and researchers from around the world to discuss recent developments in the theory, methods, and applications of statistics and data science.

    Conference Program Highlights

    The scientific program will feature:

    • ● Special invited talks from eminent researchers in statistics and related disciplines
    • ● Short courses on current topics in statistics and data science (offered for an additional fee)

    • ● A student paper and poster competition recognizing outstanding contributions from young researchers

    Invited and Contributed Sessions

    • Invited Sessions: Each invited session typically consists of three talks on a timely, coherent topic. Sessions may be proposed by IISA members and supporters or organized by the Scientific Committee.
    • Contributed Sessions: These sessions give faculty, researchers, and graduate students the opportunity to present their work to an international audience.

    Student Paper and Poster Competition

    The student competition recognizes outstanding research contributions through paper presentations and posters, with awards given in multiple categories to encourage young researchers from India and abroad.

    Awards Ceremony and Banquet

    An awards ceremony honoring notable contributions to statistics and data science will be held during the conference, followed by a conference banquet and networking reception.
